The mark

The heron and the stone

The logo is Gardiner G31, the Egyptian heron. The Egyptians called it bnw, the Benu bird, from the verb wbn — to rise in brilliance. The Greeks met it later and called it the phoenix.

The header carries one sentence in three scripts, the way the Rosetta Stone carries one decree in three. Each band moves on its own plane, in its own direction.
